Android phones with the most pixels on the screen have a clear advantage over their iPhone competitors, according to new research by analyst firm Gartner.
It’s an area that is crucial to smartphone adoption as more people move to mobile platforms such as iOS and Android.
As part of its latest research, Gartener analysed the screen sizes of the leading Android phones and compared them to those of iPhones and iPads.
The research found that the new iPhones with a higher resolution display have a better viewing angle and less pixelation, making them the best-looking devices on the market.
“The best screen sizes have the highest resolution and have the widest viewing angles.
These factors make these phones great candidates for those who need to enjoy full screen viewing, such as sports fans and video game enthusiasts,” said Dan Rosenberg, director of research at Gartners.
“The smaller screen sizes also offer the best view of text and graphics on mobile devices, so users can see more content and more information without the distraction of a larger screen.”
Gartner found that Samsung’s Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy S6 had the highest pixel density and the lowest pixelation.
The phones also have the lowest screen resolution of all the smartphones on the Gartensen list.
It found that all three of the top-performing phones on the list were powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC, which has a 10nm manufacturing process.
The highest resolution phones in the study are also the most attractive smartphones for buyers, with the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S7 all making up the top five most attractive Android smartphones on Gartens list.
“Our new research finds that the top 10 smartphone screen sizes are the most desirable, with these phones offering great screen quality and a large screen for a high price point,” said Rosenberg.
“These phones are the ones that are making the most of the potential of Android phones, and we believe that they will continue to have a strong future.”
Samsung’s Galaxy Note series has long been a favourite among consumers because of its great design, and the smartphone maker has been looking to expand its reach with its latest Galaxy smartphones.
The company’s latest flagship, the Galaxy A7, is powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC and features a 10-inch display with a 4K display.
The Galaxy A5 is powered in the same manner, with a 5.5-inch screen and a 1440p panel.
The Galaxy S series is also the flagship phone in Samsung’s new line of smartphones that includes the Galaxy Tab 7.8 and the S7 Edge.
The Tab series, like its predecessor, is a flagship smartphone in Samsungs new line, but it’s not as popular as its predecessor.
The top-selling smartphone of the new generation of Samsung devices is the Galaxy X series, which includes the S8, S8+ and the XS.
These phones feature the Snapdragon 808, 821, 808XL, 824 and 826 SoC chips, as well as 64GB of storage and a 4.7-inch 1080p display.
The S8 has a 5-inch Quad HD display, while the X is powered with a 10.1-inch LCD screen.
The most attractive smartphone on Garts list is the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, powered by a Snapdragon 821 and 827 SoC.
It comes in a choice of the Snapdragon 653 and 853 processors.
The flagship phone is also powered by 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, and features an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 6-megapixels front-facing camera and a 12-megascontour lens.
The next-highest selling smartphone is the Apple iPhone 6 Plus, with an octa-core Exynos processor.
The phone features a 4:3 screen, a 16:9 aspect ratio and a fingerprint sensor.
The bottom of the Galaxy list is dominated by Samsung’s older phones, including the Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Note 7.
Both have a 5 inch LCD screen, 64GB and 256GB storage.
The new phones also feature an 8MP rear camera and an 8 MP front-camera, and a 16MP camera for selfies.
Garteners research was conducted from March 3, 2016 to March 3 and has a margin of error of +/- 1 per cent.
