I built this house.
When I was 20, I built it to survive the next 20 years.
It’s a very long time to be building a house when it’s already gone.
That said, I’m pretty proud of my house.
It is a testament to the fact that we have an opportunity to build something that is sustainable, that is livable, and that is not just for a few hundred bucks.
I’m proud of it.
I also want to thank my neighbors for helping me make this dream a reality.
For years, I was a single mom raising four children on my own.
It was a difficult situation.
My husband and I were also on welfare.
I lived on a diet of fruit and vegetable, rice, and bread.
I was so stressed out that I would never finish the books in the morning.
I would be up all night thinking about school.
I did this for two years.
After two years, it became unbearable for me.
My life was very miserable.
My kids would be at home and I would have to pick them up from school, so I had to make time for myself.
My family was so worried for me, but I could not face the thought of living like this.
I started working.
I wanted to start a business and then build a house and have more kids.
Then I started to make my way into the real estate business.
I built my first house.
That house is the one that I am proud of today.
I’ve lived there for the last 16 years.
Every year, I get more and more excited about how I’m going to live in this house, and I think that the next house will be even better.
That’s because I believe that I’m building a better house every day.
I have built more than 60 homes.
It has been a challenge for me to build a better home every year.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to buy a home that I could never afford.
But I’ve never been happier about that challenge than when I was building my next house.
After all, building a home is the first step to building a life.
So, I think I’m making progress each year, every time I make a house.
I just have to keep going and keep working to keep it going the way I want it to be.
